Happy Valentines Day Everyone !  This year instead of chocolate I am doing this EASY cinnamon pop corn in the micrwave. It looks so pretty tied in little bags with a gold ribbon and is a welcome change from candy.

                    Microwave Cinnamon Corn

In a glass bowl, place..1 stick butter
                                   1/2 cup sugar
                                    1/4 cup white corn syrup
                                    3/4 cup cinnamon red hots
Microwave on high for 6 minutes...STIRRING TWICE
remove from microwave and add 1/4 tsp baking soda
  Then immediately
Pour over "popped" corn  ( I pop about 1 cup kernels)
Put in a brown paper grocery bag and fold over the top....Micrwave 1 1/2 minutes on high
stir well Again fold over sack and micrwave for 1 1/2 minutes on high, stir again (or shake bag well)
then again microwave for 30 seconds.    pour corn on cookie sheet and cool.

I promise you will love this and make it over and over.  It is so simple.  Just remember to have you corn already popped in a big bowl.

This weekend my son was here for a short visit and a couple of "hints" crossed my mind to share with you.
Whenever I whip cream for a pie or dessert and I have a little left over,  I put a piece of plastic wrap on a cookie sheet and drop dollops of cream on it.  Then  I freeze it until firm and keep the dollops in a container in the freezer.  When serving hot chocolate I place a dollop on top and it is so pretty as well as DELICIOUS.  It always impresses everyone.  Sometimes I sprinkle a little cocoa or cinnamon over the top.

Another thing that I want to pass along,  when placing silverware in the basket of your dishwasher, so many  put the eating part of the utensil UP.  Please reverse that.!   When emptying the basket you will grasp the handles and NOT the part you eat with.  It also prevents sticking your hand with the fork tines.

Well so much for todays visit.  I hope you are all well and happy.........Smile Always, Bev
